This is an impressive chainmaille bracelet in stainless steel. Sturdy, dense and moderately heavy, this piece will likely last forever.
The bracelet is made up of individual steel rings, woven together in a chainmaille pattern called Elfsheet. The bracelet in the pictures is approximately 9 inches (23cm) long and closes with two steel lobster clasps. It is roughly 3/4 inch (2cm) wide. Please ensure that you leave a little extra room when measuring your wrist to allow for the thickness of the weave.
More a casual bracelet than high fashion, this piece will stand up to daily wear. The appealing, repeating pattern will be sure to catch people’s eye and will work as a finishing touch to your day to day outfits. The bracelet is comfortable to wear with rounded edges.
Elfsheet is my absolute favourite chainmaille weave. I could work on Elfsheet all day long and never get bored with it. I love the way the rings go together, the way I stitch up the two sides to make one wide sheet, and the way the finished thing looks, moves, flexes and feels to the touch. I have made this weave in aluminium before, but I wanted to weave it in stainless steel as well. I get along well with steel – it’s strong, practically everlasting and generally a great metal.
I make all my pieces to a high standard, the Viking way, but if you have any issues please do not hesitate to contact me.
