This is a prime example of what’s known as Micromaille – chainmaille made with tiny rings. This chainmaille bracelet cuff is made up of hundreds of individual rings in a pattern named Elfsheet. Yet despite the amount of rings, the bracelet is lightweight as anything. You won’t believe how comfortable it is to wear until you try it on!
The piece is roughly 7.5 inches (19cm) long. It features three magnetic clasps, which ensure that it closes securely. Just pull them apart to open, but you can tell from the strength needed that it will not easily fall off.
The main part of the piece is woven together by Bright Aluminium rings. This is an aluminium and magnesium alloy, which is nickel free. The clasps are a silver plated alloy.
Elfsheet is my favourite chainmaille weave, and I never let an opportunity to weave it go past me. With this bracelet I wanted to see how wide I could make it before I ran out of rings, and I adore the result. It has surpassed my expectations and become, if I have to say so myself, a work of art.
The bracelet will arrive in a gift box, ready to wear.
I make all my items to a high standard, the Viking way, but if you have any issues please do not hesitate to contact me.
